Jon Mclaughlin “So Close” Oscar

There is a competition between two duets. One is sung by Pheobe and Constantine, the Constantine from American Idol, the other duet is going to be sung by Pheobe and her boyfriend. It is supposed to be a competition and I guess it has become a big presentation. Constantine, Elliott Yamin and Jon McLaughlin are going to be guest perfomers at some point. The show is on CBS, here in my area, the show airs at 12:30 CST, so my guess is it is probably on11:30 in your time zone. I am pretty sure this performance will be on late this week or early next week. It is going to be called the Boldface Challenge.

He sang at the Oscars tonight. I read some comment from MySpace profile. Anderson’s McLaughlin to perform at Oscars. The Oscars, man… congratulation! I’m glad the duo won for their song, though, and I’m very very glad that they brought back the girl and let her finish her part of the acceptance speech. Classiest act I’ve seen in a long time.

McLaughlin performed “So Close,” a song he performed for the soundtrack of Disney’s “Enchanted.” The song is written by Alan Menken with lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

“So Close” is one of three songs nominated from the musical about a Disney fairy tale colliding with modern day New York. Amy Adams will sing “Happy Working Song” from “Enchanted.” Also from “Enchanted” will be “That’s How You Know,” sung by Kristin Chenoweth and Marlon Saunders. Both are written by Menken and Schwartz.
