How to start a blog training videos for beginners
Three months ago I started a project with a friend of mine, Gideon Shalwick, to produce a site to teach people who are absolutely new to blogging how to set up a WordPress blog and get started as a blogger.
The site is now finished and ready for use. The website address is - http://www.becomeablogger.com
No money is required to access the videos at Become A Blogger. So far we have videos on -
1. Why You Should Use WordPress
2. How To Get Your Own Domain Name
3. How To Get A Web Host
4. How To Install WordPress With One Click
5. How To Upload Files To Your Webhost Using FTP
6. Choosing A WordPress Theme For Your New Blog
7. How To Install And Use WordPress Plugins
8. How To Create Your First Blog Post And Blog Page
9. What RSS Is And Why You Need It
10. How To Use Feedburner For Supercharging Your RSS Capabilities
As you will see, these videos are professionally produced and very easy to follow. The purpose of the videos is to help people who are technically challenged, so if that is you, or you know someone who is, send them over to http://www.becomeablogger.com
HELP SPREAD THE WORD
I think everyone who blogs has been asked exactly how to set up a blog by interested friends and family. In future if you are asked this question you now have a place to send these people for guidance (and to get them off your back!).
If you are just learning about websites, these videos are a fantastic introduction to the steps every budding webmaster must take at some point, like buying a domain name and web hosting, and learning how to FTP.
After visiting the site and checking out the videos I’d really appreciate it if you could write a blog post or send a newsletter to show your readers this resource.
I have a newsletter form on the site for people who want to download a copy of my Blog Profits Blueprint, but you DO NOT have to join to watch the videos. They are staying fr-ee for full public access. (Source: Yaro Starak’s Newsletter)
