You are browsing the tag archive for wordpress plugins.
I just found a new Wordpress plugin that looks useful. RewardingPosts lets you offer free digital downloads in exchange for a link or blog post. You can grab your copy for free from RewardingPosts.com. I’m going to give it a try to see if I can create some buzz through bribery. I’ll let you know how it goes.
What is RewardingPosts?
RewardingPosts is a Wordpress plugin that allows you, a Wordpress blog owner, to offer a free download of software, ebooks, reports, graphics, or any other digital file to other bloggers who are willing to put up a post linking back to you on their blogs.
Why Use Rewarding Posts?
People love free things. They also love to tell other folks about free things. This plugin allows people to get free things — software, ebooks, reports, coupons, music, or anything else that can be delivered digitally — while they spread the word about cool freebies to their own communities.
Meanwhile you, as the giver of great gifts, can gain readers and buzz for your blog with the ability to track which sorts of files are most effective and popular, and reap the benefits as new links appear on other blogs to yours.
How Do I Get It?
To get started, give the plugin a test from the user’s standpoint by adding a post about RewardingPosts on your own blog, then click on the download link at the top of the sidebar on this page. Fill in your post permalink, and you’ll get the file.
The plugin installs like most Wordpress plugins, but if you need help, follow the installation instructions on this site to install and set up your first RewardingPosts offer.
Once you’re ready to promote your offer, come on back and post about it in our forum!
Three months ago I started a project with a friend of mine, Gideon Shalwick, to produce a site to teach people who are absolutely new to blogging how to set up a WordPress blog and get started as a blogger.
The site is now finished and ready for use. The website address is - http://www.becomeablogger.com
No money is required to access the videos at Become A Blogger. So far we have videos on -
1. Why You Should Use WordPress
2. How To Get Your Own Domain Name
3. How To Get A Web Host
4. How To Install WordPress With One Click
5. How To Upload Files To Your Webhost Using FTP
6. Choosing A WordPress Theme For Your New Blog
7. How To Install And Use WordPress Plugins
8. How To Create Your First Blog Post And Blog Page
9. What RSS Is And Why You Need It
10. How To Use Feedburner For Supercharging Your RSS Capabilities
As you will see, these videos are professionally produced and very easy to follow. The purpose of the videos is to help people who are technically challenged, so if that is you, or you know someone who is, send them over to http://www.becomeablogger.com
HELP SPREAD THE WORD
I think everyone who blogs has been asked exactly how to set up a blog by interested friends and family. In future if you are asked this question you now have a place to send these people for guidance (and to get them off your back!).
If you are just learning about websites, these videos are a fantastic introduction to the steps every budding webmaster must take at some point, like buying a domain name and web hosting, and learning how to FTP.
After visiting the site and checking out the videos I’d really appreciate it if you could write a blog post or send a newsletter to show your readers this resource.
I have a newsletter form on the site for people who want to download a copy of my Blog Profits Blueprint, but you DO NOT have to join to watch the videos. They are staying fr-ee for full public access. (Source: Yaro Starak’s Newsletter)
